I was stuck by this image that was feature in Himid's project where she worked with the Guardian. The way that she isolated specific colours in the uniforms and then replicate them in the knife paintings is haunting. It shows the true power of a selective colour palette. It highlights that the simplest of choices can effect a finished piece. I have tried to take this under consideration when selecting colours for my project. I have attempted to stick to a limited colour palette of bold paints.
