La chaussée des Géants is an artwork that I have chosen to look at because of its use of metallic paints and also for the way that she tries to control something uncontrollable. Marsaud let the paint have free reign over the surface and then used lines to try and add order to the painting. I have tried to implement a similar method to my work by giving the paint some freedom and then trying to control it by moving it where i want it to go. I learnt from Marsaud's work the importance of the paints properties such as whether it is shiny, glossy, or matte.
